Skyborne in Vero Beach, Florida is seeking a dependable Motor Pool Mechanic to maintain and repair golf carts and fleet vehicles. The role requires at least one year of hands-on experience and a strong focus on safety and independent work habits.

You will perform routine maintenance, tire and brake work, oil changes, battery care, electrical checks, and documentation of service. Join a hands-on team at a growing aviation training provider with a culture focused on quality and safety.

Job Details

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Motor Pool Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs on golf carts and motor vehicles. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of hands-on experience working on golf carts and vehicles and be comfortable performing general mechanical tasks to keep our fleet safe, reliable, and in good working condition.

This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to work independently while supporting the daily maintenance needs of our motor pool.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on golf carts and motor vehicles.
• Change and repair tires, including checking tire pressure and inspecting tire condition.
• Perform oil changes and routine fluid checks.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of hands-on experience maintaining or repairing golf carts and motor vehicles.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle and golf cart maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Experience with tire changes, oil changes, brake work, fuses, lights, and basic battery maintenance.
• Ability to use common hand tools and basic automotive maintenance equipment.
• Ability to identify routine mechanical problems and determine when additional repairs are needed.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to perform the physical duties associated with vehicle maintenance, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining both gas-powered and electric golf carts.
• Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting.
• Experience maintaining a fleet of vehicles or equipment.
• Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record, if required for the position.

Work Environment

This position involves hands-on work in a motor pool, maintenance shop, or garage environment. The mechanic will work with golf carts and motor vehicles and may be exposed to tools, automotive fluids, batteries, and various weather conditions when working outdoors.
