An experienced Motor Grader Operator for our Hampstead, NC area project who can safely operate equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform documented pre-shift 360 walk-around inspection of the equipment.

1. Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated equipment.
2. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
3. Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and material.
4. Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
5. Perform daily maintenance and housekeeping including inspection, checking fluid levels, greasing, and cleaning.
6. Follow safety policies and procedures.
7. Perform other job-related duties as required or assigned.
8. Operate other equipment as needed.

Qualifications

1. Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience operating Motor Grader.
2. Must have experience with total station.
3. Must have experience with finish/fine grade work.
4. Operate self-propelled grader to spread and level dirt, gravel, and stone, to grade specifications and maintenance of roads.
5. Shape and finish shoulders and slopes.
6. Experience with basic tools and be mechanically inclined.
7. Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
8. A thorough knowledge about safety precautions while working.
9. Work requires exposure to construction site environments having extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, smoke, hazardous substances, and loud noise levels.
10. Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
11. Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
12. Provide personal transportation to and from the jobsite.
13. Willingness to learn and adapt to change.
