Frederick County Sanitary District is seeking a skilled Motor Equipment Operator to operate and maintain a range of heavy and light equipment for road work and infrastructure projects. You will perform routine servicing, safety checks, and minor repairs while supporting maintenance activities in varying weather conditions.
The role requires a High school diploma or GED, at least two years of heavy equipment experience, and a valid Class B CDL.
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Motor Equipment Operator to join Frederick County's Sanitary District team. In this hands‑on role, you will operate and maintain a variety of heavy and light equipment to support the construction, maintenance, and repair of County infrastructure.
As a Motor Equipment Operator, you will:
Physical Demands: Requires frequent lifting of up to 80 pounds, prolonged standing and walking, and the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, grip, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
Environmental Conditions: Indoor and outdoor work is conducted in variable weather conditions – including extreme heat/cold. Exposed to high or low temperatures, humid conditions, and other unfavorable weather conditions throughout the year.
