Qualifications

• Strong C++ programming and production-grade software experience.
• Ability to collaborate within and across teams.
• 1+ year of management experience with 5+ reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for onboard motion planning systems and low-speed maneuvers.
• Improve evaluation capabilities to understand on-road performance.
• Mentor junior engineers on the team.
• Investigate driving behavior from logs and root causes.
• Develop foundational frameworks advancing the Waymo Driver.
• Contribute to solving challenging driving scenarios in the long tail.
