About the Role

We are looking for a Motion Planning Engineer to work on driving behavior and motion planning within a production software environment.

The role involves implementing, debugging, and testing features, working closely with senior engineers, running regression tests, and validating software across different driving situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement, debug, and test features and modifications related to specific areas of driving behavior in the production codebase.
• Work closely with senior engineers to understand design specifications and deliver reliable, high-quality code.
• Utilize backend tooling to run regression tests and validate changes across various driving situations.
• Help collect data and generate actionable feedback on driving performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• 2–3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in C++.
• Familiarity with foundational motion planning and pathfinding concepts, such as:
• A*
• RRTs
• PRMs
• Experience working with large-scale codebases.
• Experience with version control, such as Git.
• Familiarity with software development workflows.
• Eagerness to learn and debug complex, real-time systems.
