Job summary

BCforward is seeking a Motion Designer to join a remote team with a preference for West Coast candidates. You will lead end-to-end video production, creating motion graphics and polished assets for customer-facing marketing and social channels.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of motion design and video editing experience, strong After Effects and Premiere Pro skills, and proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop. A strong portfolio and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Motion Design or related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional motion design or video editing experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in After Effects and Premiere Pro; Illustrator/Photoshop knowledge.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 including Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Clipchamp.
  • Figma proficiency for updating content and asset prep.
  • Portfolio showing motion graphics and video production for marketing or product content.
  • Strong understanding of motion principles, typography, pacing and branding.
  • Ability to manage assets, versioning, timelines and deliverables across projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create motion graphics, animations, and video edits for marketing and social channels.
  • Translate raw assets into compelling motion assets to support storytelling.
  • Edit video content for pacing, clarity, visual quality, and impact with transitions and color tweaks.
  • Prepare outputs for multiple formats, channels, and aspect ratios with brand alignment.
  • Use product assets and UI designs to create accurate video captures and motion sequences.
  • Maintain strong visual judgment across composition, typography, and brand consistency.
  • Manage production workflows: naming conventions, version control, timelines, milestones.
  • Track feedback, revisions, approvals, and final outputs; communicate blockers.
