Job summary

BONES is a cutting-edge studio redefining how machines learn to move, with a world-class motion dataset and ML-ready data for clients. We seek a data engineer to own data flow from capture metadata to final datasets, building scalable pipelines and tools for cross-functional teams.

You will develop visualizations, monitor data quality, and support dataset deliveries for ML training, ensuring data remains organized, traceable, and accessible to production and directors.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in data engineering and analysis, ideally with machine learning applications.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data extraction and management.
• Ability to design and manage data pipelines for smooth data flow.
• Experience in building analytical toolsets and visualization dashboards.
• Analytical mindset and the ability to turn complex data into clear insights.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Fluency in speaking and writing in English.

Responsibilities

• Build, automate and maintain data pipelines to gather and process motion capture metadata and animation assets.
• Analyze data to track anomalies, monitor progress against goals, and recommend actions to improve quality and performance.
• Create and improve analytical tools that make data easily accessible for directors, production, and technical teams.
• Develop visualizations and dashboards that translate complex motion data into clear, actionable insights.
• Support the preparation and validation of dataset deliveries for ML training.
