Job summary

The Mosaic Company invites students to join as a Biosciences Agronomy Co-Op/Intern for Summer 2027. This virtual role supports Mosaic Biosciences North America with field trial monitoring, data capture, and collaboration with agronomists across multiple regions.

May–August 2027, full-time (36–40 hours per week) with travel expenses paid. Gain hands-on experience with a global leader, competitive pay, and exposure to real projects in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Sophomore-level student by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor’s in Agriculture-related field.
• GPA 2.75 or higher.
• 1–2 years of volunteering or school activity experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites.
• Ability to work full-time while being a student.
• Post-offer/pre-placement screenings may be required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify trial sites with regional agronomists and staff.
• Document and ensure accuracy of electronic trial records.
• Assist in field plot research and data collection.
• Support sales-related engagement with accounts as needed.
• Occasional overnight travel to other sites for data collection.
• Communicate with management and engineers across organization.
• Participate in project and department meetings.

Education

Sophomore level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in Ag business, Ag Education, Agronomy or related field

Virtual with travel supporting areas in one of the following 3 Midwest regions: Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri; OR North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota; OR Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and possibly Wisconsin and Michigan.

Mosaic Biosciences Agronomy Co-Op/Intern at Mosaic will work closely with agronomists to identify, monitor, and capture information about field trials throughout a specific territory supporting Mosaic Biosciences North America. $19.20/hr with paid travel expenses.

What You’ll Do

Day to day work assignments could include:

• Work closely with regional agronomists and local staff to identify trial sites, evaluating below and above ground plant characteristics, capturing pictures or video images of processes and results.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of electronic records for test sites and treatments
• Assist in various field plot research functions includingpursue and capture detailed field information for Mosaic Biosciences North America
• Support other efforts including some engagement with accounts in a sales setting.
• Occasional overnight travel will be expected to other locations as part of data collection and services responsibilities.
• Communicate with various levels of personnel throughout the organization, including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespersons, and contractors.
• Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment.
• Adhering to Mosaic’s mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What You’ll Need

• Sophomore level or above by May 2027 pursuing a bachelor's in in Ag business, Ag Education, Agronomy or related field.
• 2.75 GPA
• 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, orworkis preferred.
• Previousinternship or co-op experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.
• Ability to work full timeand be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship
• Selected candidates willbe requiredto successfully completepost-offer/pre-placementdrug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.
• Basic computer skills are required
• Experience working in a team environment is a must
• Effective verbal communication skills is a plus
• Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments
