Job description

Description

The Mortgage Fulfillment Underwriter ensures that reviewed assets meet all applicable investor guidelines through comprehensive knowledge of requirements and regulations. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of decisions.

Responsibilities
  1. Decide on a full range of mortgage loans, preferably including FHA loans.
  2. Review all mortgage applications and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Collaborate with clients to prepare mortgage applications and resolve any outstanding issues.
  4. Coordinate with compliance officers to ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local regulations.
  5. Approve or deny mortgage applications promptly.
  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.
  7. Demonstrate behaviors aligned with the organization's culture and values.
Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch break.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High School Diploma.
  • Solid knowledge of mortgage underwriting and automated underwriting systems.
  • Proficiency with automated underwriting systems.
  • Knowledge of mortgage laws and regulations, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act.
  • Familiarity with state and federal agency guidelines is helpful.
Experience Level

Expert Level.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $31.00 - $32.00/hr. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability, HSA, transportation benefits, employee assistance, PTO, and more, subject to eligibility and plan specifics.
