Job summary

Goldenwest Credit Union in Utah is seeking a Mortgage Underwriter to review, evaluate, and decision mortgage loans. The role focuses on ensuring loans meet credit union and agency standards, with responsibility to communicate loan status to loan officers and processors.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of direct underwriting experience and knowledge of FHA, VA, and Rural Housing. This full-time position emphasizes ongoing professional development and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review, evaluate, and decision mortgage loans.

• Decide loans based on credit union guidelines and policies.
• Communicate status of loans to mortgage loan officer and processor.
• Comply with all regulations as required by law.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

Our Mortgage Underwriters eagerly assist mortgage lending by reviewing, evaluating, and decisioning mortgage loans.

Location & Schedule Availability

• 5151 S 400 E, Washington Terrace, UT 84405
• Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
• Full-time, 40 hours per week
