Job summary

First American is seeking a customer service specialist for our ServiceMac operation in Fort Mill, SC. You will address mortgage-related inquiries, research account details, and document conversations to ensure timely resolutions for our customers.

The role requires at least 1 year in a call center or customer service setting, strong communication, and the ability to navigate multiple systems. Training is provided; shifts run Monday–Friday with occasional overtime and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience in a call center or customer service environment.
• Mortgage servicing, financial services, or related industry experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and screens while assisting customers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate account documentation.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to research information, analyze customer concerns, and determine appropriate next steps.

Responsibilities

• Resolve customer inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
• Research and analyze mortgage account information across multiple systems.
• Verify and update customer contact and account information.
• Implement solutions per established procedures and available resources.
• Escalate complex issues to managers or other teams when needed.
• Document customer interactions with clear, concise notes.
• Investigate and follow through on customer concerns with internal teams.
• Assist with billing questions and coordinate with Collections when needed.
• Identify opportunities to introduce relevant products and services from our clients.
• Support service and regulatory goals while delivering a consistent customer experience.
