Job summary

Huntington Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer - Retail to deliver Simply the Best customer service to every client. The role focuses on developing mortgage loan business through internal and external referrals and building relationships within the community.

Responsibilities include advising clients on loan options, guiding applications through underwriting, coordinating with loan origination partners, and maintaining ongoing client relationships.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1+ years mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage loan products (conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending).
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Cross-sell financial products and services ability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develops new and expands internal and external referral sources to grow mortgage business.
• Advises clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products.
• Provides excellent customer service from approval through closing with underwriting coordination.
• Maintains client relationships.
• Advises customers on completion of loan applications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
