Job summary

A leading credit union in Waukesha is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to provide personalized financial services and originate mortgage loans. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in mortgage lending, excellent interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Qualifications

• Minimum of five years mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment.
• Experience with loan products such as 1st and 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, construction loans.
• Must be able to attain a NMLS.
• Must be able to attain a valid NMLS.

As the MLO you are responsible for providing personal, customized financial services to potential members and members of the credit union. Support Summit Credit Union’s mission and vision by serving as a trusted financial advisor through recommending solutions toward improving their financial situation. Originate investment quality loans while meeting the needs of the entire membership. Build trustworthy relationships with branch staff and lending processors. Plan and participate in real estate business development activities of the credit union.

Ideal candidate will have the equivalent of an associates degree in finance or business related field. Minimum of five years mortgage lending experience in a retail financial environment, customer focused with sales experience. Experience with loan products, such as 1st mortgages, 2nd mortgages, WHEDA, construction loans and loan processing. Excellent listening and interpersonal skills and strong organizational skills required. Must be able to attain a NMLS.
