Role

Meets all of our members' financial needs by providing unsurpassed service. Originates and processes mortgage loans, understands member's needs and appropriately suggests products or services. Cultivates strong relationships outside of the Credit Union, building loyalty with members and the real estate community.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • 50% Interviews mortgage loan applicants in person or by telephone and explains loan options, rates, terms and collateral requirements. Inputs loan applications into the computer and provides initial loan disclosures. Maintains member records and prepares files/member documents with the highest level of confidentiality and accuracy. Consistently communicates with members, realtors and support staff regularly on all loans files when applicable.
  • 15% Willingly and actively returns calls to members. Calls include mortgage transfer calls from Member Contact Center, internal branch referrals, and all other call leads as assigned.
  • 10% Promptly responds to members' requests, questions, and concerns by finding the appropriate solution. Assists members as quickly as possible and assists walk‑in members whenever possible.
  • 10% Makes weekly realtor contacts (in‑person and phone contact) to promote future business and external referrals to the Credit Union to include phone calls, in‑person meetings, office presentations and realtor networking events.
  • 5% Promotes a culture of deepening participation by effectively and actively cross‑selling Credit Union products and services to meet each member's needs as discovered on member's credit report or interview with member.
  • 5% Collaborates and assists with other departments/branches to maintain unsurpassed service across all areas of the Credit Union. Cultivates a team environment at all times.
  • 5% Proactively performs other duties as needed or assigned. Assists with Home Equity loans and lines and branch team members as needed.

  1. Supports and practices Rogue's Vision, Mission, Values and Loyalty Culture. Utilizes the Service Promises with both internal and external members. Embraces Rogue's community involvement program in a positive and proactive manner.
  2. Meets or exceeds the minimum established departmental goals in order to assist in meeting the Credit Union goals and scorecard metrics.
  3. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills.
  4. Maintains an understanding of Credit Union products, services, policies and procedures, as well an understanding of the Credit Union's mission and vision.
  5. Ensures all activities within the department are carried out within the expected time frames and completed accurately.
  6. Ensures compliance in all regulatory and procedural areas.
  7. Provides consistent service that creates the most loyal members in the nation!
Knowledge and Skills

Experience: One year to three years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills

Good communication and listening skills; able to operate a 10-key calculator and computer skills.

Physical Requirements

Some lifting required (up to 30 pounds), continuous sitting, occasional standing and occasional walking. Finger dexterity while using computer. Occasional talking and hearing in person and on the telephone. Continuous clarity of vision at 20 inches or less and continuous clarity of vision at 20 feet or more.

Work Environment

Normal workday with occasional overtime. Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery.
