Job summary

Sunward Credit Union in Nevada is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to move deals and move lives with a mission-driven approach. You will originate loans and help bilingual and underserved borrowers while complying with lending regulations. Requirements include a minimum three years of experience originating mortgage loans and a HS Diploma or GED.

NMLS registration is preferred and encouraged. This is a full-time role with salary draw plus commissions, serving Clark County and a growing

Requirements

Qualifications:

Experience And Education

• Minimum three years’ experience originating mortgage loans.


• Minimum of HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

Knowledge

• Thorough understanding of mortgage lending fundamentals and regulations.


• Strong knowledge of mortgage products.

Skills/Abilities

• Excellent interpersonal skills.


• Strong verbal and written communication skills.


• Ability to communicate lending related topics clearly and succinctly to others.


• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.


• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Familiar and comfortable with information technology, particularly digital means of communication.


• Strong organizational skills in managing multiple initiatives.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work individually and as a team.


• Ability to keep and maintain pass requirements for SAFE ACT.


• Current registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) or ability to become registered upon employment.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.


• Frequent travel.


• Must be able to lift 5 pounds at times.
