The Mortgage Insurance Analyst completes disbursement of PMI, LPMI, and MIP premium, processes borrower cancellation requests, monitors and completes automatic terminations, and orders and monitors property valuations as needed. They ensure PMI, LPMI and MIP duties are performed timely and accurately. This person is an industry expert who must have significant experience, knowledge, and understanding of mortgage insurance. This role involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and collaborating with other departments to deliver exceptional service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Completes tracking, monitoring, disbursing of mortgage insurance as related to the servicing of mortgage loans
- Tracks, monitors, and disburses refunds of mortgage insurance premiums, as applicable.
- Processes and orders various reports for mortgage insurance premiums.
- Reconciles mortgage insurance billing and loan portfolios to the servicing system.
- Balances and remits mortgage insurance premiums to applicable PMI company or government agency.
- Completes annual mailing of required disclosures.
- Accurately documents systems with comprehensive status updates.
- Manages daily task work queue and monthly bulk processing.
- Collaborates with other departments to resolve cross-functional issues.
- Researches and resolves exceptions and illogical conditions.
- Monitors and completes research to resolve consumer, investor, and internal inquiries.
- Completes mortgage insurance processes in accordance with state and federal regulations and investor requirements.
- Ensures compliance with State, Federal, Regulatory, and Investor Requirements and guidelines, maintains up-to-date knowledge of internal policies and procedures, and understands how requirement changes affect the operations.
- Works with mortgage insurance vendors & third parties utilized in the mortgage insurance processes.
- Meets established standards and guidelines with regard to compliance, job knowledge, quality, attendance, efficiency, initiative, and overall performance.
- Other projects and assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in mortgage insurance processes or in other relevant mortgage servicing departments.
- Knowledge of mortgage insurance processes, industry standards, consumer protection laws & regulations impacting escrow operations areas.
- Ability to have a cross‑functional impact across the servicing operation.
- Highly organized, reliable, and results‑driven.

This role operates in an ADA compliant office environment, utilizing typical office equipment and tasks including computer work. The position may involve partial stationary positions and moving throughout the day. Flexibility to work overtime to meet project deadlines is required.
CMG pays a competitive salary which ranges from $60,000 to $65,000. Factors that affect salary may include escrow and mortgage industry, computer skills, customer service experience specific to working with mortgage customer’s, and education.
