Job summary

NewRez LLC is seeking a Mortgage Consultant to originate a variety of loans for existing customers, responding to leads via phone from internet, direct mail, referrals, and campaigns. You will engage borrowers, determine needs, and prepare loan proposals, taking applications by phone and guiding the process to close.

Candidates must have origination experience in mortgage or banking, an active NMLS license, and a solid understanding of appraisals and product guidelines.

Qualifications

• Origination experience in the mortgage or banking industry is required.
• 2+ years’ origination experience.
• Active NMLS license is required (state/regional may vary).
• Understanding of appraisals, title reports and product guidelines.
• Persuasive communication skills; inside sales experience preferred.
• Ability to connect with borrowers and provide excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Originate purchase and refinance loans from leads by phone.
• Take mortgage loan applications and prepare proposals.
• Obtain info to close the loan and coordinate closing.
• Meet monthly sales goals and stay compliant with conduct codes.
