Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking Indirect Fire Infantryman to operate mortars within a combat-ready unit in Oklahoma. You will train as part of a mortar squad, execute field maneuvers, and learn to locate and disrupt enemy positions while adhering to strict safety protocols.

As you advance, you’ll supervise tasks, train others, and participate in coordinated offensive and defensive operations. Educational benefits, tuition assistance, and healthcare are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between the ages of 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and fire three types of mortars
• Employ crew and weapons in offensive, defensive, and retrograde ground combat
• Operate, clean, and store automatic weapons
• Employ, fire, and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines
• Carry out scouting missions to spot enemy troops and gun locations
