Job summary

Empire Distributors Inc. in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Morning Warehouse Worker to receive stock, rotate and restock goods, and operate forklift and order picker machines. The role includes supporting inventories and picking customer orders for shipment.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, and a forklift certificate is recommended. Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with benefits such as health care and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent
• 1-3 months related experience and/or training may be acceptable
• Forklift certificate or ability to obtain one is required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Receives stock and verifies accuracy of new product
• Rotates stock
• Restocks returned products
• Operates forklift and order picker machines
• Assists with quarterly inventories
• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved
• Conveys materials from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
• Sorts and places materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to predetermined sequence
• Fills requisitions
• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves
• Marks materials with identifying information
• Opens boxes and other containers
• Janitorial duties when required
• Other duties assigned by Warehouse Manager(s)
• Heavy lifting up to 50lbs
