Job summary

JCC Chicago is seeking dynamic and dedicated Substitute Teachers to join our team in Glencoe, Illinois. This role involves supporting the whole child through a developmentally appropriate curriculum in a community-focused environment.

As a member of our Early Childhood program, you'll foster emotional and cognitive growth while providing a safe and engaging atmosphere. Competitive hourly pay between $16 and $25 based on experience. Morning shifts are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age with a high school degree or GED.
• Child development experience in a preschool, kindergarten, or licensed daycare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of children at all times.
• Implement a program aligning with JCC's integrated curriculum.
• Establish good communication with parents and staff.

Skills

Passion for working with young children

Ability to lift and move children (up to 40lbs)

Good communication skills

Ability to foster a collaborative environment

Education
