Golden Poppy Caregiving is seeking a Personal Care Attendant to provide non-medical services in a client's home and community settings. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, medication reminders, housekeeping, meal planning, shopping, and companionship to help clients stay in their own residence.

The role requires compassion, reliability and adherence to agency policies and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide Registry.
• Current TB certificate.
• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents.
• Completed “Criminal Record Statement” (LIC 508).
• Complete “Personnel Record” (LIC 501)
• Complete “Statement Acknowledging Requirement to Report Suspected Abuse of Dependent Adults and Elders” (SOC 341A)
• Current drivers’ license & vehicle coverage (if transporting clients or running errands)
• Minimum of five (5) hours entry-level training prior to presence with client(s).

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care including bathing, dressing, and ambulation.
• Provide mouth care, exercising, hair care, feeding, and toileting/incontinence care.
• Assist with nail care, positioning, and medication reminders.
• Support skin care, transferring, and meal planning & preparation.

Job Description Summary

Personal Care Attendant-Domestic Caregivers provide non-medical service and assistance to a client in their home and communities, who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, cannot perform these services. These services enable the client to remain in his or her residence and include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following: bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising, personal hygiene and grooming, transferring, ambulating, positioning, toileting and incontinence care, assisting with medication that the client self-administers, housekeeping, meal planning and preparation, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship.

Personal Care Attendant- Domestic Caregivers are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies, industry standards, and state regulations.

Minimum Eligibility Requirements

Qualifications include:

• 18 years of age or older;

• Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents;
