Job summary

Urban Farmer Philadelphia, a Sage Hospitality Group property, seeks a friendly restaurant server to provide prompt and courteous service to diners in a modern steakhouse setting. Qualifications

Basic knowledge of customer service principles, the food server function and restaurant operations.
Knowledge of standard cash-handling procedures.
Fluent in oral and written English.
Vision and coordination to read guest checks and manage trays in a busy restaurant.

Responsibilities

Greet and take food and drink orders, serve the orders, and accommodate special requests.
Remain attentive to guests throughout the dining experience, following service standards.
Complete restocking and cleaning duties during opening/closing sidework.
Memorize menu items, recipes and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
Maintain cleanliness in the restaurant, wait station and service areas to meet health standards.
Ensure accuracy of guest checks and payment methods.
Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to stay informed about products and service.
