Job summary

Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center – Lab is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to obtain specimens from patients and assist with basic testing under CLIA guidelines. You will perform specimen processing, data entry, and act as a liaison between the lab and patients.

The role requires high school graduation and hospital experience preferred. Monday–Friday, 4:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 40 hours per week with a pay range of $19.80–$29.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience or related laboratory function.
• Basic computer skills and data entry capability.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and ensure safety.
• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from patients of all ages.
• Prepare specimens for testing and ensure proper labeling and tracking.
• Assist with limited testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Support billing, inventory, and other lab functions.
• Provide training to staff on phlebotomy and processing tasks.
