Job summary

Wyoming News Now seeks a morning Meteorologist to deliver daily forecasts Monday through Friday and contribute weather content across platforms. You will analyze data, craft graphics, and present in a conversational on-air style, then post updates to the website and social media.

The role requires a meteorology-related degree, some anchor experience (college accepted), flexibility in scheduling, and a keen interest in weather systems. Pay starts at $18/hour and the position is full-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher degree in meteorology, broadcast journalism or related field.
• Some anchor experience preferred (college experience acceptable).
• Flexibility in scheduling is required.
• Knowledge and interest in meteorology is essential.
• WSI MAX knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze weather data and prepare detailed forecasts.
• Prepare graphics to support weather presentation.
• Conversational on-air presentation.
• Post content to website and station social media platforms.
• Perform regular duties of a broadcast meteorologist for morning and noon newscasts; post on digital platforms.
• Knowledge of non-linear video editing is a plus.
