Job summary

Vestis is seeking a dedicated Laundry Associate to join our industrial laundry facility in Highland, IL. You will handle merchandise, manage slings and batches, and ensure safe, accurate processing of items through washers and dryers.

The role requires safety awareness, basic math, and the ability to work on a team in a warehouse environment. Shift is 5am–1:30pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to understand required training, written, and verbal instructions.
• Basic math skills.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule.

Responsibilities

• Check all machine safety devices before operating equipment and record the safety form.
• Load washer/dryer with sling and batch management to maximize utilization.
• Record batch ticket information on the machine form.
• Enter weights into SOFTROL for washers and manage sling transport.
• Unload washer and dryer, ensuring correct batch tickets and proper handling of items.
• Verify moisture and temperature, ensure slings are intact and items are cooled properly.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow production procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
