Job summary

TEGNA Inc. in Spokane seeks an experienced anchor to lead our newscasts with editorial judgment and engaging storytelling. You will collaborate with producers to craft unique, fast-paced broadcasts across TV and digital platforms.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of anchor/reporting experience and a journalism or communication background, with strong on-air presentation and writing skills. A valid driver's license and ability to operate news gathering vehicles are required.

Qualifications

• Journalism and/or Communication degree preferred.
• Excellent, creative presentation and writing skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Use editorial judgment to determine content of newscasts.
• Work with producers to create unique, fast-paced newscasts.
• Write and post daily on digital platforms, including social media.
• Develop story ideas, write, shoot and edit news stories for TV and online.
• Interview subjects and research for facts and credibility.
