Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality is hiring for a culinary position at one of our La Quinta Resort and Club properties. The role offers hands-on kitchen experience across grill, sauté, and fry stations with opportunities to learn from a world-class culinary team.

We seek candidates with 2–3 years of professional kitchen experience, active food handler certification, and flexibility for day/night and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Active Food handler’s certification or ability to obtain it.
• Willingness to work day/night and weekend shifts.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Desire to exceed expectations.
• Energetic personality.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge and skills in cooking procedures (grill, sauté, fry).
• Experience with knives and various kitchen equipment.
• Read and recreate recipes.
• Be consistent in all food preparation.
• Minimize food waste through cross-utilization.
• Work with a world class culinary team.
• Create workstations with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking (chopping, peeling, cutting).
• Maintain a sanitized and orderly kitchen environment.
• Store all food and items properly.
• Ensure high quality ingredients.

What you will have an opportunity to do:

What are we looking for?

• 2-3 years previous culinary experience in a professional kitchen environment
• Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
• Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
• Requires strong organizational skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds

Compensation:

$19.50 - $19.50
