Job summary

Stellar Energy Americas Inc. is seeking a Moonshine Technician to design, fabricate, assemble and improve custom shop-floor solutions in Fort Worth, TX. This hands-on role partners with operations, engineering and quality teams.

You will build workstations, carts and fixtures, identify lean improvements, read drawings, use hand and power tools, and ensure safety and quality. Must have a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in manufacturing; travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, or similar role.
  • Ability to safely use shop tools and read basic drawings and measurements.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and modify workstations, carts, fixtures, racks, and material handling systems.
  • Identify lean improvements in safety, ergonomics, flow, quality, and productivity.
  • Translate shop-floor needs into practical fabricated solutions using lean principles.
  • Support 5S, visual management, and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications.
  • Measure, cut, drill, fasten, weld, and assemble diverse materials.
  • Test and refine solutions for usability, safety, and effectiveness.
  • Maintain organized work areas and improve fabrication processes.
  • Assist with layout changes and shop organization.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations on improvements.

Summary Objective

The Lean Technician is responsible for designing, fabricating, assembling, and improving custom shop‑floor solutions that support safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. This hands‑on role partners with operations, engineering, quality, and production teams to implement practical, low‑cost improvements that enhance manufacturing performance.

Essential Functions
  • Design, build, and modify workstations, carts, fixtures, racks, and material handling systems.

  • Identify opportunities for lean improvements in safety, ergonomics, flow, quality, and productivity.

  • Translate shop‑floor needs into practical fabricated solutions using lean principles.

  • Support 5S, visual management, point‑of‑use storage, and waste reduction initiatives.

  • Fabricate and assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.

  • Read and interpret drawings, sketches, and specifications.

  • Measure, cut, drill, fasten, weld, and assemble various materials.

  • Test and refine solutions to ensure usability, safety, and effectiveness.

  • Maintain organized work areas and improve fabrication processes.

  • Assist with layout changes, workstation moves, and shop organization.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, and operations on improvement projects.

  • Track project completion, materials, and improvement impact.

  • Ensure all work complies with safety policies and standards.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Work Location

This position will work out of our facilities in Fort Worth, TX. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.

Work Environment

Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to SEA Fabrication Shop for observation and research are required.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Travel

Anticipated up to 15% travel for this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary. Occasional travel to customer job sites and conferences may be required.

Required Education and Experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, maintenance, or similar role.

  • Ability to safely use shop tools and read basic drawings and measurements.

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Technical certification or trade training preferred.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing, welding, or fabrication strongly preferred.

Work Authorization

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
