Job summary

Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health seeks a physician to supervise and provide medical care within the physician’s specialty for Dartmouth-Hitchcock patients, with administrative duties and CME participation.

The role requires New Hampshire medical licensure, ABMS board certification within 5 years, active hospital staff membership, and a commitment to patient-centered care and teaching within the Geisel system. The position also involves involvement in academic responsibilities and trials as assigned.

Qualifications

• Advanced clinical degree (MD or DO).
• Post graduate training in residency program.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative services within the physician’s specialty.
• Abide by Bylaws and Code of Conduct.
• Review records and medical history.
• Determine diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Order tests and studies as appropriate.
• Obtain informed consent.
• Interpret test results.
• Prescribe medications and treatments.
• Refer to other providers as needed.
• Manage patient admissions/discharges when applicable.
• Provide patient and family-centered care and counseling.
• Ensure privacy and informed consent.
• Supervise APPs as directed.
• Participate in CME and quality initiatives.
• Lead and train residents and students; participate in clinical trials and sponsored research.
