Job summary

Sankofa Montessori in Forest Park, GA is seeking a dynamic Physical Education & Health Teacher for K–5 for the 2026-2027 school year. The role focuses on standards-aligned instruction, movement, wellness, and inclusive practices to foster healthy habits and teamwork.

You will collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth while delivering engaging PE/Health lessons using Quaver curriculum and school resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education and PE certification or eligibility.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate PE/Health instruction for elementary students.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction.
• Strong classroom and behavior management skills.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for varying abilities.
• Willingness to obtain Georgia certification if not already.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned PE/Health instruction for K–5.
• Utilize Quaver Health & PE curriculum and approved resources.
• Teach movement, fitness skills, and health concepts to students.
• Create inclusive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides, Student Support, and families.
