Job summary

Discovery is seeking full-time Classroom Assistants to support infant and toddler communities in a Montessori setting, under the direction of the Lead Guide. The role is Monday–Friday with start times 8:00am–9:30am and end times 5:00pm–6:30pm.

Montessori experience is welcome but not required, with training provided. We welcome educators who appreciate the Montessori method and enjoy working with young children.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 college-level Early Childhood Education credits, with 3 in infant/toddler care and development.
• Be warm, joyful, and professional with children.
• Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification before starting employment.
• TB test negative within the last 12 months or willing to take a TB test with negative results before first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Support infants/toddlers in a Montessori environment under the Lead Guide.
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and developmentally appropriate activities.
