Job summary

Guidepost Montessori is hiring an Assistant Guide for a Prosperity-area school, with a 9:00 AM–6:00 PM closing shift. You’ll help create a calm, engaging Montessori environment for ages 0–6, supporting both individual and small-group activities.

You’ll collaborate with Lead Guides to foster independence, confidence, and a love of learning in young children, while benefiting from diploma training sponsorship and extensive professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Availability to consistently work the 9:00 AM–6:00 PM closing shift.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience welcome but not required).

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and fellow team members to create a strong classroom community.
