Guidepost Montessori in Bethesda, MD is seeking an Assistant Guide to support a mixed-age classroom for ages 0–6 at the Bradley Hills school. You will help create calm, engaging spaces that nurture independence, curiosity, and a love of learning under the guidance of Lead Guides.

This role focuses on preparing learning environments, supporting individual and small-group activities, and building warm relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Meet state education and experience requirements.
• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience welcome but not required)

Responsibilities

• Observe children to understand and support individual needs.
• Prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
• Build warm, respectful relationships with children and families.
• Collaborate with Lead Guides and team members to create a strong classroom community
