Role Description

The Monogrammer is a part-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX, responsible for customizing products through precise and high-quality monogramming. Day-to-day tasks include operating monogramming equipment, setting up and aligning designs, selecting appropriate fonts and thread colors, and ensuring accurate placement on garments, accessories, and gift items. The role involves inspecting items before and after monogramming, managing order details, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace to protect client merchandise. The Monogrammer will collaborate with store team members and concierge staff to fulfill client requests, meet deadlines, and deliver personalized pieces that align with The Kno’s brand standards. This position may also assist with packaging, merchandising personalized items, and interacting with clients to confirm details and answer questions about customization options.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in monogramming, embroidery, or similar personalization techniques, including experience with relevant machines or tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in aligning, measuring, and finishing customized designs on a variety of fabrics and materials.
• Basic design and layout skills, including an eye for aesthetics, color coordination, and font selection that align with brand standards.
• Customer service and communication skills to clarify customization requests, manage expectations, and provide a positive in-store experience.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple orders, meet deadlines, and maintain an orderly workspace.
• Comfort working on-site in a retail or studio environment, including standing for extended periods and handling delicate or high-value items.
• Prior experience in retail, gifting, fashion, or personalization services is beneficial.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in textiles, design, or craft-based disciplines is a plus.
