Job summary

Makpar is seeking a Senior Monitoring Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and sustain enterprise monitoring in a secured government-ready environment in the United States. You will build dashboards, automate workflows, and support production rollouts while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Splunk SOAR and Ansible, strong troubleshooting skills, and independent work in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience configuring and supporting enterprise monitoring tools in secured environments.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Working knowledge of ITSM tools such as ServiceNow and CMDB integration.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across monitoring, alerting, and telemetry pipelines.
• Ability to work independently in a secured, enterprise environment with minimal oversight.
• Experience with Splunk SOAR and/or Ansible for automation and event management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on configuration, deployment, tuning, and sustainment of monitoring solutions.
• Develop dashboards, alerts, and automation using Splunk SOAR/Ansible, along with event management workflows.
• Support integration testing and production rollout activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate monitoring requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues to minimize downtime and ensure system reliability.
• Document configurations, standard operating procedures, and lessons learned to support knowledge transfer.
