Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center is seeking a Care Partner for the Float Pool's Monitor Transport Team in Nashville. The role primarily transports monitored patients to imaging services by bed or wheelchair, while providing basic ADL support as needed.

A basic arrhythmia test with 85% accuracy is required during orientation. The position offers a Full-Time Night Shift (3 twelve-hour shifts per week) with rotating schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• Current enrollment in a nursing RN program or completion of a Nursing Assistant/Aide program within the past year is preferred.
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.

Job Summary:

Assist with the delivery of patient care and maintenance of unit environmental standards under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

Position Overview:

This position will be on the Float Pool’s Monitor Transport Team and is mainly responsible for transporting monitored patients to various imaging services via bed or wheelchair; however, care partner experience is required to handle ADLs as needed. Candidate must pass a basic Arrhythmia test with 85% accuracy during orientation.

Shift:

• Full-Time Night Shift - 6:45 PM- 7:15 AM / (3) 12 hour shift per week with a weekend shift requirement

• Shifts do rotate throughout the week

• _ Note: Set schedules are not available. Schedules are determined by unit clinical staffing needs. _

Care Partner Position Qualifications**:

Required: High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience)

_ AND _ one of the following:

• Current enrollment in a professional nursing RN program with successful completion of the first semester (including nursing fundamentals clinical), or

• Graduation from a Nursing Assistant or Aide Training Program within the past year (certificate of completion required), or

• Minimum of one year of recent experience (within the past two years) as a care partner, nursing assistant, or patient care technician.

• Basic arrhythmia monitoring experience, or the ability to pass a basic Arrhythmia test with 85% accuracy
