Chestnut Hill Hospital is seeking a Monitor Technician to perform high-level patient surveillance and provide rapid notification to nursing staff of any changes in cardiac rate or rhythm. The role involves monitoring heart rhythm via telemetry, observing patient status, and coordinating with clinicians as needed.

Responsibilities include initiating and discontinuing telemetry monitoring on admission, transfer, or discharge, and performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of monitoring

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsabilités

• Monitor patients continuously and provide nursing/clinician with immediate notification of changes in heart rate or rhythm.
• Record and report heart rhythm from patient cardiac monitors and supervise seizure and fall risk activity as ordered.
• Initiate and discontinue monitoring equipment on admission, transfer or discharge.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of monitoring equipment to ensure operability and reliable monitoring.

The Monitor Technician performs high-level on-going patient surveillance and provides nursing/clinicians with immediate notification of any changes in cardiac rate/rhythm. Responsible for monitoring, recording, and reporting heart rhythm from patient cardiac monitors, seizure and fall risk activity for patients with orders of telemetry, and general patient observation. Initiates and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge. Conducts maintenance and troubleshooting related to the monitoring equipment on the patient to ensure equipment is in working order to allow for clear monitoring.
