Part of the job responsibilities will also include being a competent, reliable and collaborative coordinator with physicians, staff, patients, family member and outside facilities. Located in Susanville in northeast California, Banner Lassen Medical Center offers comprehensive care in a state‑of‑the‑art facility to aid in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses. Our 25‑bed medical center has a proud history of providing vital caring to the community since 1883. Though we are a small community hospital, we have invested in the latest medical equipment, including a 124‑slice CT scanner, nuclear medicine, MRI, ultrasound, bone density and mammography. The hospital also offers infusion, respiratory therapy and cardiopulmonary services as well as laboratory services, inpatient and outpatient surgery and a 24‑hour emergency department.

This position is responsible for continuous observation of patients’ monitors, leads and/or activity and behaviors, and for reporting pertinent changes and abnormalities to the appropriate clinical staff. This position is also responsible for maintaining logs of activity and changes or behaviors in accordance with facility standards. In addition, this position provides routine patient care to promote patient comfort and contribute to the overall patient plan of care. Responsible for on-going patient data collection and documentation in the medical record; provides a variety of unit support functions which contribute to the overall efficient operation of the nursing unit/department.
Incumbents work in a fast‑paced, sometimes stressful environment with a strong focus on customer service. Interacts with staff at all levels throughout the facility, as well as patients, families, physicians, external contacts and vendors.
