Job summary

AdventHealth in Zephyrhills, FL is seeking a Monitor Technician for the night shift. Responsibilities include monitoring ECGs, documenting telemetry, and notifying staff of anomalies, while maintaining alarms and contributing to quality initiatives.

Qualifications include a monitor tech background or AdventHealth training, strong English skills, basic computer use, and a professional telephone manner. High school diploma preferred; 1+ year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Monitor technician experience or completion of AdventHealth Monitor Technician training program or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Pleasant telephone manner and organizational skills.
• High School Grad or Equiv (Preferred).
• 1+ monitor tech experience (Preferred).
• Medical terminology (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates behavior that aligns with the company's core values.
• Documents in accordance with department policy and maintain telemetry logbook.
• Observes monitors, recognizing and documenting normal and abnormal EKG patterns, and promptly notify nursing staff of any abnormalities.
• Maintains monitor alarms per policy, verifies that alarms are set and audible every shift, and troubleshoots monitors as needed.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities, demonstrating accurate documentation and monitoring of activities, and supporting departmental quality standards and initiatives.
