Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is a private, nonprofit community-based healthcare system serving a 22-county region in North Florida and South Georgia. We are seeking a Unit Secretary to provide continuous surveillance of EKG on central station monitors and monitor heart rhythms in special care units using telemetry equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of an arrhythmia interpretation program.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of job-related experience; able to recognize and interpret heart rhythm changes.
• Computer skills/training required.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program and passing an in-depth arrhythmia-specific test using caliper measurements and evaluation of rhythm changes over time using full disclosure.

Required Experience:

• Minimum: No previous experience is necessary.
• Preferred: One (1) to two (2) years of job-related experience; must be able to recognize, evaluate, and interpret heart rhythm changes and perform the duties of a unit secretary. Computer skills/training required.
