Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is seeking a Monitor Tech for the House Telemetry unit (Nights). You will provide continuous ECG monitoring, interpret arrhythmias, and help ensure equipment is functioning and stocked. This role requires attention to detail and reliable teamwork in a hospital setting.

The position is full-time with night shifts. Prior telemetry experience is preferred but not required for candidates who demonstrate strong aptitude and the PHC telemetry competency

Responsibilities

Possesses knowledge and ability to provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaining inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition and responsible for appropriately reporting malfunctions promptly as applicable.

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a monitor technician Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 Days Required
• Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association Preferred or
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International Preferred
