Job summary

IHA in Fresno, CA seeks a Monitor Technician to continuously observe patient ECGs, accurately identify arrhythmias, and report findings to the care team to support safe, efficient ward operation.

This role may include other tasks to help maintain unit workflow and environment. A high school diploma, Basic Arrhythmia course, and AHA CPR are required; 12-lead EKG experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a Basic Arrhythmia Course is required upon hire.
• Minimum score of eighty percent (80%) on the SAMC entry-level recognition examination within six months of hire is required.
• Twelve to eighteen months experience in an acute care setting or successful completion of a medical terminology course are required.
• Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with medical center staff under routine and stressful situations are required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Previous 12 lead EKG experience is preferred.

$23.00 - $29.61
