Job description

Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Monitor Tech/Clerk position to work with our Virtual Integrated Care Department. The Monitor Tech/Clerk position is a dual role which is performed according to the position assigned by the charge nurse. If assigned to the monitor tech role, the primary purpose is to monitor the central telemetry station and document arrhythmias according to the policy. This is a support role to nursing, therefore, reducing the amount of time the nurse spends monitoring the patient’s heart rhythm. If assigned to the unit clerk role, the primary purpose is to provide clerical and receptionist duties to the nursing unit. This is also a support role to nursing, therefore, reducing the clerical duties of the nurse. Customer service is valued by the individual as evidenced by:
