Job summary

Qualifications

Notifies RNs and clinicians immediately of any changes in cardiac rhythms. Delivers telemetry to nursing units and performs initial monitor hook-up and discharge. Prepares patients and provides teaching related to cardiac monitoring. Ensures accurate documentation and supports patient safety.## Essential Functions- Assists RNs and clinicians with cardiac monitoring, interpretation, documentation, and related procedures.- Monitors and records physiological measurements, including obtaining six-second strips as indicated by patient condition or physician order.- Identifies patient arrhythmias, abnormalities, or significant changes from baseline and reports to the RN, provider, or appropriate supervisor.- Initiates, configures, and discontinues monitoring equipment on admission, transfer, or discharge, and maintains cardiac equipment.- Documents and interprets patient heart rhythms and rates using telemetry recordings and maintains accurate records in the EMR and log books.- Performs clerical duties related to admission, discharge, and documentation of patient information from the central monitoring unit.- Orients and mentors new team members, serves as a resource for training and troubleshooting, and gives reports to oncoming shifts.- Prioritizes and organizes work assignments, maintains and stocks equipment and supplies, and reports equipment failures to Bio-med.- Performs other duties as assigned.## Education RequirementHigh school diploma or equivalent## Experience Requirement0-1 years of experience in a healthcare, clinical setting, or a relevant areaAn equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.All experience must be paid and in the same related field.Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.## Certifications & LicensuresBasic Life Support (BLS)## Working ConditionsA.
