Jackson Hospital (Marianna) is seeking a Monitor Technician to observe cardiac monitor data, recognize rhythm changes, and promptly inform the nurse in charge. The role requires clear communication and reliable documentation within hospital policies.

The MT will assist with transcription of orders and use of monitors, telephones, and basic office machines, contributing to efficient patient care and teamwork on the unit.

Competenze

• High School G.E.D. required or equivalent.
• EKG interpretation experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or preferred.

Mansioni

• View patient monitor screens for changes in rhythm and notify RN of any changes.
• Transcribe physician orders accurately.
• Operate monitors and basic hospital equipment as directed by nursing staff.

Under the direction of Unit Director, the Monitor Technician (MT) performs unit functions such as viewing monitor screen for changes in patient cardiac rhythm and notifying RN of any changes noted, transcribing physician orders, etc., appropriate to the position and in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.

• Education: High School Graduate or G.E.D. Education in medical terminology preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in basic EKG interpretations preferred.
• Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations: BLS
• Equipment/Tools/Work Aids: Uses cardiac monitors, telephone, copier, fax and computer
• Specialized Skills: Good communication skills, both verbal and written, time management and customer focused skills. Ability to form effective working relationships with hospital staff.
