Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Day Shift Monitor Technician to observe patient monitors and support RN/LPN staff in delivering safe, compassionate care.

Must have a high school diploma or GED and BLS CPR certification; one year of monitor tech experience preferred; ongoing departmental competencies and annual review required.

• Must obtain and maintain a current certification in BLS CPR. Must maintain any other requirements for each specific department. Must complete required departmental competencies and maintain them through annual review.

Responsibilities

• The monitor tech shall be responsible for assisting in the care of patients by continual observation of any patient on a cardiac monitor, under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Assist in monitoring patients and communicate findings to nursing staff to support patient safety.
