Washington Elementary School District in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a Monitor - Playground/Cafeteria to help ensure student safety on playgrounds, buses, lunchrooms and hallways under supervision.

The role requires CPR certification within 30 days, and obtaining an AZ IVP FPCC clearance. The position is paid hourly at $15.15 to $17.12, with the possibility of both full- and part-time shifts.

Pay Grade: A(Non-Exempt Support Staff Salary Placement) Department: Various

Accountable To: Principal

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Calendar: 195 days

Creation/Revision Date: July 10, 2019

Summary: Under direct supervision incumbents provide for the safety of students on playgrounds, buses, street crossings, lunchrooms, hallways and other school property by enforcing school rules and policies pertaining to student behavior in areas as described above. Incumbents may serve in one or more of these areas. Incumbents may also be exposed to extreme temperatures when working outside.

Required Qualifications:

• Must receive CPR certification within 30 days of hire date.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).

Preferred Qualifications:

It is preferred that applicant possesses the following preferred qualifications; however, the following qualifications are not required to be eligible for this position.

• High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (G.E.D.).
• One year of remedial program experience;
• One year of curriculum, instruction and assessment program experience.
• Obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC).
