Job summary

North America Central School Bus is seeking a part-time Bus Aide for our operations in O'Fallon, IL. You will help ensure student safety, monitor passengers, and support loading/unloading while following district and school safety protocols.

The position emphasizes teamwork, communication with drivers and school staff, and participation in safety trainings. Compensation aligns with experience and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

• Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute. Keeps order on the bus.
• Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver. Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheel chairlifts
• Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attend all safety and training meetings.
• Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door. May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.
• Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, IC SB, etc.
• Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
• Other specialized functions as required by contract.

Qualification:

• At least 18 years old & hold a valid state I.D.
• Pass a background check, drug screen & physical
