Job summary

First Student is hiring a Part Time School Bus Monitor in Euclid, OH. You will assist the bus driver to provide a safe journey for students, with no prior experience required. We offer industry-leading training and safety programs, with a starting hourly rate of $17.25 and a training rate of $11.00.

Part-time, split AM/PM shifts, weekdays only, no nights or summers. We provide medical/dental/vision/Life insurance, 401(k) with company match, EAP and career advancement opportunities across 540

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work flexible AM/PM split shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Help students safely board and exit the bus.
  • Assist children with special needs during transport.
  • Ensure students remain seated and follow bus safety rules.
  • Communicate with the driver to maintain a safe, calm ride.

As a Part Time School Bus Monitor, you will play a vital role in your community and the lives of the students. You will assist the bus driver in providing an excellent and safe journey for students to and from school. No experience as a School Bus Monitor is required! We will guide you with our industry-leading safety and training programs.

Your day as a School Bus Monitor/Aide will include:
  • Help students safely board and exit the bus
  • Assist children with special needs during transport

School Bus Monitor/Aide qualifications:
  • At least 21 years of age

Language Requirement

This role requires English proficiency. Federal, state, and local requirements, including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, require training, safety communications, company policies, employment documents, and other job-related communications be conducted in English.
