Job summary

Infosys invites a Technology Consultant 2 to join the Financial Services unit in Jersey City, NJ. You will contribute to requirements elicitation, design discussions, and coding across banking, wealth management, and insurance projects.

Expect collaboration with cross-functional teams and emphasis on scalable, reliable software solutions. The role requires hands-on coding in Python, strong SQL and Unix scripting, experience with RESTful APIs, and familiarity with cloud data platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience with MongoDB, SQL Development, query optimization, performance tuning.
• Experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python, especially Python server-side backend programming.
• Understanding of OOPS concepts and strong SQL, Unix shell scripting.
• Strong knowledge in RESTful APIs, data structures, algorithms, collections, multithreading, memory management and concurrency.

Responsibilities

• Document assigned parts of business requirements and guide design discussions.
• Participate in coding and integrate new features into existing applications with focus on stability.
• Conduct code reviews and maintain code repositories.

In the assigned Job Role of Technology Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Contribute to the requirements elicitation process by documenting assigned parts of business requirements, in line with guidance provided
• Facilitate software application design discussions, and document design decisions to guide the technical team towards building software solutions
• Participate in coding and integrate new features or updates into existing applications, with a focus on maintaining system stability
• Conduct code reviews, do changes to the codebase and maintain code repositories
• Implement test strategies, analyse results, and coordinate bug fixes to uphold the software quality standards
• Develop user training programs, documentation, and support frameworks to ensure a smooth transition to new software applications
• Actively participate in resolving production issues and recommend preventive strategies to enhance system reliability
• Maintain detailed records of code, testing techniques, and support activities to enrich the knowledge base and assist other similar projects

Required Skill and Experience

• Experience with MongoDB, SQL Development, query optimization, performance tuning,
• Experience in end-to-end implementation of projects in Python, especially Python server-side backend programming
• Understanding of OOPS concepts
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL, Unix shell scripting
• Strong knowledge in RESTful APIs, Data structures, Algorithms, Collections, Multi-threading and memory management and concurrency

Preferred Skill and Experience

• Experience with Terraform
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Additional Details

Estimated annual compensation range for candidate based in the Jersey City, NJ will be $82,419 to $126,600
